Why should I choose Libtek?

How can I save money on my gas bills?

In theory, a condensing gas boiler can operate at an efficiency of around 90%. However, most boilers never achieve such high efficiencies due to poor design and configuration.

Is my boiler condensing?

All gas boilers installed in the UK since 2005 are condensing boilers. While older boilers would typically send 40% of their heat straight out through the flue, condensing boilers are designed to recover this heat.

If the boiler has not been installed and configured correctly, there is a high chance that it is not condensing and therefore a large percentage of your gas bill is being sent straight out the flue. One simple step you can do yourself is to check the temperature of the hot water coming from your boiler. If this is set above 65 degrees then it’s possible your boiler is not condensing fully.

How long does it take to install a gas boiler?

If you are simply replacing a boiler with a new one and not making any other changes to your heating system, it is possible to complete the job in a day. If you would like to move the boiler, or if you are changing from an older type of boiler then it may take longer to complete the job.

How often should I get my boiler serviced?

You should get your boiler serviced once per year to ensure that it is safe and running at its best and this may be required to keep your warranty valid.

Which manufacturers do you recommend?

We recommend installing Vaillant or Viessmann boilers. We have been installing and servicing gas boilers from these companies for 20 years and they have an excellent track record of reliability and efficiency.
